How to use your Brand Photographs

So, you’ve had a brand photoshoot—now what? Professional images are a powerful tool and one of the best investments you can make for your business, but they’re only effective if you use them! Here are some ways to make the most of your brand photography:

📌 Website & About Page – Your website is often the first place potential clients go, so make sure it represents you and your business authentically. People want to see you and a warm, approachable headshot on your ‘About’ page helps to build trust. It’s important to have professional, personalised images throughout your site to create a real connection with your audience. Stock photos might look polished, but they don’t tell your story or showcase what makes your brand unique. Try to feature images of your actual space, your team and real customers. Your website should feel like you—and the right images make all the difference.

📌 Social Media – Use your brand images across your posts, reels, and stories to create a cohesive look. If you’re a creative, share behind-the-scenes shots of you working on a product. If you work with people, images of you interacting with clients work well. Other ideas for posts include close-up details of your desk/workbench or feature before-and-after transformations of happy clients.

📌 Marketing Materials – From business cards to brochures, high-quality images elevate your brand and help you stand out from the crowd. A ceramic artist might use lifestyle product photos in an Etsy or Eventbrite banner, while a service based businesses could add them to presentations and PDFs shared with clients.

📌 Product Packaging & Labels – If you sell physical products, consider using your images on packaging or thank-you cards.

📌 PR & Features – If you’re getting featured in an article, podcast, or speaking event, having professional photos ready makes you look polished and prepared.

📌 Email & Newsletters – A well-placed image can make your emails feel more personal and engaging and help to draw the reader in.

Your brand photos are more than just pictures—they’re a way to tell your story.
